Pros of the PROSCO C01508X Rotary Vane Pump:1. Clamp-on design: The pump's clamp-on design allows for easy and convenient installation on a variety of tubing sizes without the need for any additional fittings.
2. Double-flat mounting flange: The double-flat mounting flange provides a secure and stable mounting solution, reducing the risk of vibration and leakage.
3. Rotary vane technology: The rotary vane pump uses a mechanical rotor to create a vacuum, which is more energy-efficient and quieter than other types of pumps.
4. Reliable performance: The pump is designed for continuous operation and can handle a flow rate of 15 GPH, making it suitable for a wide range of applications.
Cons of the PROSCO C01508X Rotary Vane Pump:1. Limited flow rate: Although the pump has a flow rate of 15 GPH, it may not be suitable for applications requiring a higher flow rate.
2. Limited pressure: The pump's maximum vacuum pressure is 28.5" Hg, which may not be sufficient for some applications.
3. Slightly more expensive: Compared to some other types of pumps, the PROSCO C01508X Rotary Vane Pump may be slightly more expensive.
Conclusion:The PROSCO C01508X Rotary Vane Pump is a reliable and energy-efficient option for applications requiring a flow rate of 15 GPH and a vacuum pressure of up to 28.5" Hg. Its clamp-on design and double-flat mounting flange make it easy to install and provide a stable mounting solution. However, its limited flow rate and pressure may make it unsuitable for some applications. If you are looking for a pump with a higher flow rate or pressure, you may want to consider other options.
Recommendation:If you are looking for a reliable and energy-efficient pump for applications requiring a flow rate of 15 GPH and a vacuum pressure of up to 28.5" Hg, the PROSCO C01508X Rotary Vane Pump could be a good fit for you. Its easy installation and secure mounting make it a convenient option for a wide range of applications. However, if you require a higher flow rate or pressure, you may want to consider other options to ensure that you choose the right pump for your specific needs.
I removed the relief valve to ensure that it wan't stuck; as you can see is a solid plastic. I'm including the fittings that were on pump as well pressure gauge - it does not go back to zero no claims are made its accuracy. The newer pumps have a different coding system it took me bit to find conversion table. Clean older PROCON industrial vane pump that was used in a carbonation system.
This is a series #2 pump; clamp-on with .188 double-flat drive 3/8 NPT ports. See the last photo for excerpts from chart read 'formally notes' - I do question pressure coding 35gph ; looks like an error to me. Series #2; brass with 3/8 ports, no filter screen, CO clamp-on attachment .188 flat drive 1508 15 gph or. The model number stamped on the body is C01508X. I made sure to count the exposed threads placed adjustment back in same exact position - chart shows default setting is 170psi.
X solid plastic relief valve, This pump turns nicely, all of the threads are in great shape.
